The WBDD24 is typically installed between two base cabinets beneath a continuous countertop. It can also be positioned between a base cabinet and a properly installed dishwasher return panel when the surrounding layout provides adequate support.
The cabinet's 24-inch depth aligns with standard kitchen base cabinets, helping the desk area blend naturally into the surrounding cabinet run.
This cabinet is not a freestanding desk. The countertop and desk drawer cabinet must be properly supported by the surrounding cabinetry, panels, or framing selected for the installation.
Planning Comfortable Knee Space
A 24-inch opening can work well for a compact workstation, but seating comfort depends on more than cabinet width. Consider the chair width, countertop overhang, nearby cabinet doors, appliance clearances, and the amount of open space needed to enter and leave the workstation comfortably.
